Computers
Computers offer access to online learning communities and interactive educational tools with a more dynamic learning experience for students. During our computer class at Carroll Catholic School, students will practice different types of communication for presentation, class interaction, and collaboration. This requires students to be readers, writers, editors, and publishers, often co-creating with each other or working closely to learn even more in the process. These skills of working together for creating, building, and editing increase digital peer-to-peer interactions, replicating a real-life 21st century workplace.
During this class, students will learn basic coding elements, common formatting, and other useful computer activities that will help prepare them for a bright future. We will discuss the importance of being mindful of online interactions and collaboration. These applications will combine students' work in grammar, math, and other disciplines into a preparation for building job skills.
