S.T.E.M.
S.T.E.M. is a specialized curriculum built upon the idea that educating students in these four specific disciplines - science, technology, engineering, and mathematics - in an interdisciplinary, applied approach will bring them together into a cohesive learning paradigm that more aptly replicates real-world applications.
S.T.E.M. is different from traditional science and math education because it blends a "normal" learning environment to help students understand how the scientific method and math skills can apply to everyday life. It focuses on problem solving and computational thinking to combine everything the students have already learned in the separate subject areas.
At the current stage of S.T.E.M., courses can be rigorous and challenging. We begin to examine fields and occupations within S.T.E.M. and the academic requirements of such fields. The work students will do during their S.T.E.M. quarter will directly relate to the science materials studied throughout the year.
